Diligence question sets

What a supplier answers before we specify

Each set is the standard a manufacturer satisfies in writing before purchase, and the basis on which an installed unit is verified afterwards. They are published so that the questions are known in advance, and so that a buyer outside our contracts can ask them too.

Throughout, what is stated is kept apart from what is verified. A figure is credible only when it is independently measured and given at the point of use, where a body actually sits, not at the emitter, the sensor or the display.

Red light diligence

Cold water immersion diligence

Plunge and cold bath: the manufacturer question set. With cold water the highest-value answers are about water management: set point and stability, turnover, filtration, disinfection and logging, the figures the category routinely cannot produce.

Sauna and heat diligence

Sauna, infrared and steam: the manufacturer question set. The decisive answers are about air: air change rate and CO2 under real occupancy.

Compression diligence

8 questions. Version COMP-2026.1

Pneumatic compression: the manufacturer question set. The dose in compression is pressure, so the decisive answers are about delivered pressure, calibration and sequencing, rather than the headline programme list.

The verdict

Green
Critical parameters answered, independently verified and given at the point of use where relevant, with claims matched to the real protocol. Specify and proceed.
Amber
Answered, but self-reported, or with gaps in the critical parameters. Proceed only with on-site verification, and with claims constrained until evidenced.
Red
Cannot or will not provide the critical parameters, or withholds verification as commercially sensitive. Do not buy, or do not make claims, regardless of price or brand.

The pattern matters more than any single answer. A manufacturer with a real product answers quickly, and hesitation, redirection to marketing language, or commercial sensitivity, is itself the verdict.

Where a set escalates to on-site verification, its questions become the measurement plan: the same parameters, read in the room with calibrated instruments. Evidence and standards sets out the framework and the reference set each parameter is read against.
